Obstacles to applying distance education at the University of Sirte from the point of staff members' view during the Covid 19 pandemic

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the most important obstacles to the application of distance education at the University of Sirte from the point of view of its faculty members, and the most important area of obstacles to the application of distance education from their point of view To achieve these goals, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze the phenomenon under study, and a questionnaire was prepared to collect information from the respondents, and it contained four axes (initial data/obstacles related to the student/obstacles related to a faculty member/administrative and financial obstacles After verifying its validity and stability, it was distributed to the sample, which amounted to (226) individuals who were selected by a simple random method, and after processing the data statistically, the most important results were the presence of obstacles that limit the application of distance education at the University of Sirte, where the obstacles related to the student were the strongest among the rest Obstacles with an arithmetic average of (3.79) and to a large extent, and the paragraph (lack of technical and technical support for faculty members) in the axis of obstacles related to the faculty member obtained the highest degree at the level of the tool’s paragraphs as a whole with an arithmetic average (4.54), which is a very large degree.
