Factors Affecting Communicator in Saudi News and their relationship to his attitude towards news Values Standards: a field study

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the factors influencing the communicator in the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel and their relationship to his attitudes towards the news values that this channel uses in its news, and the researcher used the questionnaire as a data collection tool. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The respondents who “worked in news channels before” came at the forefront of the study sample, with a percentage of (77.4%), and (87.1%) of the study sample respondents had job satisfaction to work in the news channel. And (lack of material return) came at the forefront of their desire to leave work in news channels with a rate of (67.7%). There was an inverse statistical relationship between the degree of job satisfaction and the news values of the communicator. There was a direct statistical relationship between the type of preferred job and the reasons for preferring to work in a news channel, and the existence of a direct statistical relationship between the challenges facing the communicator in his work and the reasons for his preference to leave the work in the Saudi news channel, and the existence of a direct statistical relationship between commitment to news values and me The sources from which the contact person draws his information, the existence of an inverse correlation between job satisfaction and the nature of the problems faced by the contact person .
